Pemberley Bakes is proud to be supporting a range of good causes and charities throughout the year
With everything that 2020 has thrown at us I wanted to try and end the year with some hope and positivity. I am delighted to share with you that from 1 November 2020, I will be supporting different charities that hold a special meaning.
How are we going to do that?
Well, for every cake mail and postal cake treat box sold £2 will be donated to good causes. With your help, together we will be able to support communities across the UK.
What is the nominated charity?
We are delighted to announce that during November and December 2020 we will donate £2 for every cake mail treat box sold to The Trussell Trust.
What do The Trussell Trust do?
The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks. Together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
As winter approaches and the effects of coronavirus continue, food banks in the Trussell Trust network are forecast to give out a staggering six emergency food parcels every minute.
Why not fundraise like before?
Those that have known me and Pemberley Bakes for a while know that fundraising for charities isn't something new. I've walked over hot coals, run a marathon, contributed to A LOT of bake sales, sky-dived and swum hundreds of laps of the pool for those charities that have special significance to me and my family.
While a lot of those things can't take place as they usually would I felt it was important to still be able to contribute but in a slightly different way. My nominated charities will change each month so for each order placed you will be helping support others in need or fund vital research as well as shopping with a small independent business.
So thank you and big virtual hugs coming your way!
